Felix Gonzales-Torres was a Cuban born artist whose work focused on ideas of death and decay. After the death of his partner, Gonzales-Torres began creating installation works that encouraged the audience to take away from it. In this particular exhibit, the artist hung strings of lights, letting the light bulbs flicker and die without replacement. The decay of light represents the fragility of life.

Needless to say, I went a little bat-shit crazy when I found out other people obsess as much as I do. Is that weird? Don’t care.
